3545. Harry Oswald Thorn was born on 1 Jan 1878 in Hazleton, Gibson, IN. He was buried in Apr 1961 in Thorn Hill Cemetery, Hazleton, IN. He died on 20 Apr 1961 in Princeton, IN. Philip V. Thorne Notes: I remember the time that Great Grandpa Oz took the old truck to town (Hazleton) and forgot that he had tied Bruno ( my great uncle's boxer) to the back bumper. Bruno kept up with him as well as he could, but it's a good thing that town was close by and that Oz always drove pretty slow. Someome in town flagged Oz down and reminded him of his reluctant companion tied to the back bumper. Bruno was no worse for the outing, but I am sure he was relieved when he got to ride " in " the truck on the way home. (note by Gary Wayne Williams)

Harry Oswald Thorn was the 1st cousin, once removed of Addison Hite Thorn/e the husband of his wife's sister; i.e. they were brothers-in-law to boot!

He was married to Gertrude Lee Coe (daughter of John S. Coe Jr. and Lavinia T. Heaton) on 17 Nov 1897 in Palestine, Wirt County, WV. Gertrude Lee Coe was born on 27 Apr 1876 in Palestine, Wirt County, WV. She was buried in Apr 1961 in Thorn Hill Cemetery, Hazleton, IN. She died on 12 Apr 1961 in Princeton, IN. Gertrude was born at Palestine, WV. her husband ( Harry Oswald Thorn) was a second cousin of ADDISON HITE THORNE ( her sister's husband). (actually 1st cousin, once removed) Harry Oswald Thorn and Gertrude Lee Coe had the following children:
