Hilton H. Thorn of Clintondale, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at home. He was 71. The son of Clarence and Gladys Terhune Thorn, he was born Oct. 22, 1927 in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Thorn retired from managing Dutchess Wholesales, a plumbing supply company, in Poughkeepsie. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served during WWII in the Pacific. He was a member of the Methodist Church; Gardiner Rod and Gun Club; and Hudson Valley Oil Heat Council. Survivors include one son, Gary Thorn of Clintondale; on daughter, Cindy Dunham of Kingston; one brother, J. Richard Thorn of Poughkeepsie; on granddaughter; and one grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at the Sutton Funeral Home, Crescent Ave., Clintondale. Burial was in Modena Rural Cemetery, Modena.

He was married to Joyce Mackey on 20 Nov 1949. Joyce Mackey was born on 24 Sep 1927. She died on 23 Feb 1990. Hilton Howard Thorn and Joyce Mackey had the following children:
