2876. Cornelia Thorne was born on 22 Dec 1867 in Marshalltown, IA. Birth place is 5 miles north of of Marshalltown. She died on 21 Feb 1938 in Pilot Rock, Ulmatilla Co., OR. She was buried on 23 Feb 1938. PALLBEARERS: Walter Wagner, Newt Royer, Frank Done, Rollin McBroom, Marvin Hutchinson & James Stanton. From the newspaper of the following day we learn that the Funeral Services were held at the Christian Church (Pendelton?), with Pastor A.F. Van Slyke, officiating. She was Quaker. Philip V. Thorne Notes: I have a Photo of Cornelia (Neelie) taken I believe in 1939 (Francis' Thornes last visit) wearing her Mom's Wedding Dress, which her Mom had worn 15 August 1855 in her Wedding, at the Fairfield MM, Ind. Both Fathers were at Wedding.

Levi & Cornelia had 7 Children: Grace, Bertha, Zelma,Ida, Levi, Forrest, & Cornelia.

On 27 Jan 1934, she wrote a letter to Bro Frank in which she described her injured ankle & that she weighed 100 pounds.

She was married to Levi Eldridge (son of Levi Eldridge and Elizabeth Storms) on 26 Dec 1888 in Pilot Rock, Ulmatilla Co., OR. Moved to MO prior To Civil War & were married there Levi Eldridge was born on 18 Apr 1867 in Linn Co, KS. He died on 30 Jan 1945 in Pilot Rock, Ulmatilla Co., OR. He was buried on 31 Jan 1945. PALLBEARERS: Walter Wagner, Lon Etter, Fred Hartman, Marvin Hutchinson, Frank Duff & Lester Hurst. Levi was famous hunter & guide. This info is from Family source's & the Org Cent. 1811-1911. Cornelia Thorne and Levi Eldridge had the following children:
