Crosby Wilkin was a graduate of Rensselaer Poly Technic Institue & a land surveyor. He lived in Wallkill, New York after 1938.

Crosby made a huge contribution to the identity & background of John Thorne, husband of Mary Birdsall. It was largely due to his years of research & dedication that facts were found, saved & preserved for posterity for the Thomas Thorn/e branch of the Samuel Thorn/e family (husband of Ann Stevenson).

He was married to Mary Langwick on 2 Sep 1938. Increase Crosby Jordan Wilkin and Mary Langwick had the following children:
