He was married to Susannah Birdsall (daughter of Zadoc Birdsall and Lavinia Purdy) on 19 Dec 1781 in Amawalk, Dutchess County, NY. Date & location just a good guess. Altho the families were both Quakers for generations no surviving record exists of their Marriage. It was no doubt a Quaker Marriage & most likely in Chappaqua MM. Susannah Birdsall was born in 1759.

He was married to Ann Reynolds on 21 Dec 1784.
