1129. Thomas Thorn Jr. was born on 4 Mar 1794 in Pennsylvania. He died on 6 Feb 1884 in Palestine, Wirt County, WV. He was buried in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, WV. Susan Moon frequently is given as the spouse of this Thomas Thorn. This error was originally in the T. Chalkley Matlack manuscript; the correct spouse IS Mary Jones! He supposedly dropped the "e" since he was disowned by the Society of Friends following service in the war.

Apparently Thomas Jr b 1794 and brother Michael b. 1790 settled in Wirt County on Thorn's Run in Wirt Co, WV sometime around 1826. Son William Hank was born in Culpepper Co, VA in 1825 and Eugenus was born 1827 in Wirt Co.

Thomas was probably born in PA, but 1860 census shows place as NJ.

He was married to Mary Jones (daughter of John Jones and Ann Maney Gough) in 1812. Mary Jones was born on 7 Jan 1797 in Virginia. She was born on 7 Jan 1797 in Virginia. She died on 31 Dec 1866 in Virginia. Accordong to Thorn Huffman's records, she is buried in Hazleton, Indiana & husband is buried in WIrt County, WVA Thomas Thorn Jr. and Mary Jones had the following children:
