He was married to Mary Haines (daughter of John Haines and Hepakiah Hinchman) on 15 Nov 1799 in Woodbury Monthly Meeting. Mary Haines was born on 23 Feb 1776. She died on 20 Dec 1852. Thomas Thorne and Mary Haines had the following children:
