Graduated with Academic Honors; BA in Anthropology. He was ill with Prostrate cancer in Jun 1998 in Huntington Beach, Orange, CA. He died on 17 Jan 1999 in California. Prostrate cancer. He was buried on 21 Jan 1999 in Newport Beach, Orange Co, CA. Buried Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Newport Beach, California; on hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean & Catalina Island, not far from John Wayne's grave. He was Lutheran. He was married to Marlene Christy Rhodes (daughter of Malcolm Hayward Rhodes and Helen Marie Ashcraft) on 20 Aug 1988 in Newport Beach, Orange Co, CA. Marlene & I had a wonderful wedding, which left us exhausted after being married in Newport Beach, reception in Huntington Beach, wedding night in Rancho Mirage, night 2 in Huntington Beach & night 3 in Hawaii.
