Marion owned a farm on Route 1 , Bradshaw, NE. I don,t remember Marion very well as I was very young when I saw him last. I recall that he rather resembled my Grandad Charles Thorne, who was his brother. They were both very lean and about 6 feet tall with sandy hair and freckles.

He was married to Gracie Blanch Stetzel (daughter of William H. Stetzel and Ellen L. Leslie) on 18 Jan 1917. Gracie Blanch Stetzel was born on 16 Jan 1895 in Johnson City, IA. She died on 18 Oct 1972 in Bradshaw, NE. She was buried on 21 Oct 1972 in Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE. Born in sod house in Hamilton Co., NE Marion Francis Thorne and Gracie Blanch Stetzel had the following children:
