1215. Thomas P. Thorn was born on 22 Sep 1792 in Newburgh, Orange Co, NY. He died on 16 Jun 1878 in Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. Thomas was 85 yrs 8 months & 24 days of age at his death. He was buried about 18 Jun 1878 in Plattekill Friends Cemetery, Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. They are buried at Plattekill Quaker Cemetery, Ulster CO. NY. Thomas P. Thorne was named by his older Brother, Jonathan to be an Executor over his Estate. Will was recorded 9 Oct 1867 & at that time the Will shows Thomas P. living in Plattekill.

He was married to Eliza Gerow (daughter of William Gerow and Esther Chadeayne) on 4 Apr 1816 in New York. Eliza Gerow was born on 16 Jul 1790 in Prob Plattekill, NY. She died on 19 Jul 1865 in Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. She was buried about 21 Jul 1865 in Plattekill Friends Cemetery, Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. She was appointed an Elder in the FRIENDS on 21 Apr 1841. Thomas P. Thorn and Eliza Gerow had the following children:

1982 iii. Esther Gerow Thorne was born on 29 Nov 1824 in Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. She died on 12 Oct 1915 in Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. She was buried in Plattekill Friends, Plattekill, Ulster County, NY. Died unmarried. She was obviously well thought of as, She along with her Dad, Thomas P. Thorne were the ONLY witnesses to His older Brother (Jonathan) 2nd Wife Charity Rider Thorne's Will dated 25 May 1869.
