1211. Solomon Thorn was born on 6 Apr 1785 in Orange Co, NY. His Parent's did not arrive in Orange County, NY, until 1791, from Westchester County, NY. I would have thought his place of birth was Westchester Co. But the Orange Co., Comm Rec by JH Beers, has him being born in Orange. Who's to say at this late date. He died on 23 Apr 1860 in Newburgh, Orange Co, NY. Solomon Thorne was 75 years old when he died. He had an estate probated on 6 Oct 1860 in Newburgh, Orange Co, NY. He was buried in Saint Andrews Cemetery, Orange Co?. Witness to his will was Chauncey T. Belknap and Eli H. Evans both of Newburgh, NY. Solomon was an executor of the estate of Elizabeth Jones. She was a first cousin of his brother Jonathan's wife, Cornelia Jones.

Philip V. Thorne Notes: At this time I don't know where Solomon is buried, but it appears that He never became a friend. So it would be in one of the other Newburgh area church cemeteries.

He was married to Jane Hardenburg (daughter of Tunis Hardenburgh and Jane (Janette) Garrison) on 18 Apr 1808 in Probably Newburgh, Orange County, NY. Jane Hardenburg was born on 9 May 1787 in New York. She died on 20 Jan 1866 in New York. Solomon Thorn and Jane Hardenburg had the following children:
